After working for the Durney family for approximately 23 years, first as bookkeeper and commercial agent, later as leisure agent and manager, I made the decision to buy the travel agency when it became available. The name change from Durney Travel & Cruise to Journey Travel came in 2007. 

I love this business! It is like no other business. I get to help people plan their vacations and I take pride in finding the best value for them. I also enjoy experiencing first hand the many destinations this world has to offer. Some of the places I've been fortunate to travel to include: China, Australia, Great Britain, Denmark, Spain, Morocco, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, South America, Mexico, Egypt, Guatemala, and many domestic destinations.

I have been helping both leisure travelers as well as business travelers since 1985. I joined the staff at Durney Travel & Cruise in 2001 and have enjoyed the camaraderie of working with everyone. I have been working as a travel consultant for over 14 years with the last 6 years here with Durney Travel & Cruise. I handle both vacation travel and business travel.

Warm weather destinations such as Mexico (Cancun-Maya Riviera is my favorite), Hawaii and the Caribbean are my specialty. I love cruising and seeing the destinations from a different perspective. Travel Consultant – Home based

I have the luxury of being able to work at my home office as well as at the main office in Aberdeen. Having worked for the agency for over 22 years allows me to do this. I recently received my Masters from the College of Disney after 5 days of intense theme park and resort training. Prior to that, I had completed the Disney Specialist program and their graduate program. I like to keep up on what's happening in the different sectors of travel.

When I was in school, I had always wanted to be a flight attendant, but as it turned out, I was too tall. I worked for an insurance agency for many years. Receptionist/Bookkeeper

 

 

I started working for the agency in the spring of 1998 as a receptionist and am now helping out as bookkeeper as well. One of the more exciting trips I took was to Turkey. I've also traveled here in the states, learning a little history along the way and I plan on doing more traveling as time permits.
